You can walk it or drive. There is a cost for parking at the Forks, although there are some parking spots that are free. We found one when we were there, but it was just lucky we got it. The museum will cost you, but it is worth it. Also think about a pontoon ride on the river with a guide. We learned a lot about Winnipeg that we did not know. Forks is one of my favorite places. Check out the river walk.
