A visit to Cape Bruny Lighthouse is a must and had lunch at the winery enroute. The Oyster Farm was closed due the spawning season. We heard that the oysters are great. I second the answer about not taking a 2 year old. You will need to check with them anyway as I doubt they will allow it. Yes it is windy and cold. We went 2 weeks ago and I was wearing jeans, socks/shoes, long sleeve shirt, very warm fleece jacket, wind spray jacket, their red waterproof coat and a hat and I FROZE! I suggest a beanie or some sort of wooden thing around your head/neck and I would also recommend gloves if you have them.
